Week 9 in Review: Peer Feedback and Brainstorming Ahead

This week was a bit of a reset for our class as we gear up for the last leg of the semester. All that we had to do was provide feedback for our classmates' knowledge sharing/tracking assignments and think up some ideas for our upcoming produsage projects. I feel like I got some useful advice about my VoiceThread and have a good idea about what I want to do for our next assignment. I'm looking forward to using some new platforms too; I plan on making Cluster the main tool in the lesson for this project, and I have not used Cluster extensively yet. As of now, I am thinking of using it to "teach" a lesson about art history. I will create a private group for my "class" and instruct them to pick a piece of art that is representative of a particular art movement (whatever that movement might be, I don't know yet.) Then in the caption for the picture, they must credit the artist using the correct format and explain what exactly about the piece of art makes it characteristic of that art movement. I'm not sure what other tools I want to use or how else I can flesh out this lesson more, so if you have any suggestions please let me know!

I do not have much more to say. I am ready to end the semester strong (and honestly, I'm also ready for some fall weather although we're hardly over the hump of summer heat here in central Florida!) I hope that everyone else in EME6414 is doing well and hanging in there.

  1. Erin - I feel like I've barely been staying above water in this course, and have hardly touched many of the tools presented. But after some discussion (with our prof), I came up with a good idea for the project that also benefits my second job. But yes, I'm ready to finish.
